The assistant controller is responsible for operational accounting management over a multi-entity real estate enterprise located in South Tampa. Chief responsibilities include daily accounting with intercompany transactions, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project management accounting as well as property management accounting. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures, preparing financial statements, treasury management, forecasting and budgeting, lead monthly close, maintaining the general ledger, special projects, and more. The environment is highly entrepreneurial, fast paced and energized.
In addition to the daily duties practicing accountancy, various administrative duties will be required including banking and document management.
Qualifications of the Applicant:
Based on experience and work efficiency of the candidate, the assistance controller position will require 30-40 hours per week i.e. this is a heavy part-time to full time position depending on the applicant’s background and desire. In addition, some of the hours may be conducted offsite (yes, you may work from home) as approved based on merit.
You will be employed by the CFO’s company who handles the accounting function for the real estate enterprise. You will directly report to the CFO, the majority owner, and the operations/project manager.
Pay will be commensurate with the qualified candidate’s experience at market rates – which is estimated to exceed $32/hr for the most qualified candidates (starting at $64,000 annual salary for fulltime). The ceiling is set based on your qualifications. Benefits are not currently offered.
